Mighty Mouse
Mighty Mouse’s successor could come soon
The key is, of course, multitouch technology that the company has patented. A mouse multitouch eliminate the “buck” middle mouse (loved by some, hated by others) as well as adopt a metallic appearance more in keeping with the current appearance of the range of Apple computers.

In fact, after two years without changes in shipments Mighty Mouse is experiencing delays in deliveries from the online Apple Stores, which arouses suspicion. Also, personally I can not imagine a mouse multitouch comfortable, so that we could find a significantly different concept to the mice we’ve seen so far. According to the source, the Mighty Mouse’s successor could arrive before the end of this year.

Mac Mini – is not Expensive
Is a Mac Mini computer, or less expensive?
Yesterday at the entrance on the Mac Mini published Applesfera is mounted in the typical discussion when it comes out of an Apple product. Are they expensive or cheap the new Apple computers? In the iMac is a somewhat difficult question to answer because there is nothing like it in the market.
In contrast with the Mac Mini if we can do a comparison of “you to you” with a product available in the market. I talk about the Dell Studio Hybrid, a team with the same “target” and addressed to the same consumer market. Are the findings? The Mac Mini does not come out not bad off.
Dell has the worst performance in terms of processor, RAM and graphics and it costs 833 euros, while the Mac Mini comes with better components for 714 euros. Seen in this way the truth is that no longer seems so expensive for the small house and it really is very well situated within their price range.

New iMac
For many, the iMac is “Mac” par excellence. Not only because the first generation of this computer was the beginning of the resurgence of Apple in the late 90’s, at the height of the company throughout its history, but because the heir has been over the years, the “soul “original Macintosh: A single body, which included computer and monitor, which was born with the Macintosh in 1984 and was reinvented with the original iMac.
Trends in the line of Apple products have always led the design imposed by the iMac. There is more to remember, again, the first iMacs “Cabezones and translucent, which led to a range of Macs with the same” skin “transparent from the initial to the PowerMac G3 iBooks.

Mac Mini
Mac Mini, the desired computer is renewed without much news. In depth.
After many months of waiting for an order of the most coveted products from Apple receives an update that could be called as necessary but not dignified. After waiting so long the biggest problem is that the excitement generated around the team is so high that it may disappoint many people.
Many people, among which I include myself, hoping that this long waiting time was synonymous with a complete change, almost a redesign concept. Finally the update has not been anything of this and have been confined to update an outdated computer in time.
Even with now more than ever it is unclear what the audience is focused on that Mac Mini. Developments such as the Firewire 800, not seen in the model, or the inclusion of a dual port graphics put the Mac Mini as a desktop internally but then the hardware does not accompany this idea. Again, it is unclear where to place this new Mac Mini.
But let’s talk about the real news of this model. Let us start with what many readers want to hear. True, that image that he was a fake affirmations was completely real. For my part I do not understand how Apple has distributed ports and every time I see the rear seems to have “pulled” the ports, almost without any sense.
Call me an old-school, but I’m used to that ports are distributed in a symmetrical and even if I do not see the picture more than a handful of ports disordered. Except for this design is ongoing and we did not find anything new in terms of materials, construction and appearance.
As for hardware should be stressed above all the arrival of the already known by all NVIDIA 9400 small house. A good choice? I believe that if, in fact the most graphic use of my laptop and I can not speak good things over there. Performance is exceptional for not including memory and its performance is certainly light years away from the integrated graphics from Intel.
The biggest problem I see is that it is late, ie, the graph 9400 is already close to half their life cycle so that in less than 9 months we will see that it is no longer a great option as it was in October when it appeared with the early Macs. A highlight in this dual video output emotions yet you will not be said that can connect two monitors at once, and although we all hope is what we need to wait for some analysis to see if this is feasible.
Like the Unibody MacBook has the great defect of being unable to include serial 7200rpm disks so we have to have to change your computer into a real desktop and not a single media center. Serial 120Gb disks included in the basic version and 320 on top of range, all at 5400rpm.
5 USB, wait a moment … 5 USB. I had to say twice that I can not believe it ended, the Mac Mini includes 5 USB. Apple has always included two things little RAM and a few ports so found this wonder seem otherworldly. All this without forgetting the great unknowns of the model, the Firewire 800.
Leaving aside how good it is that for the model comes to mind, the new MacBook is “ugly duckling” of the company? Well it seems that if the range of Apple computers as a whole FW800 port includes at least one exception to the Unibody MacBook.
As for the processor but not a big change from his predecessor is a new generation of processor from Intel, the same as the MacBook, which enjoyed an exceptional performance and low power consumption. On the subject RAM rescued the “myth” and saying before we see the basic model includes an extremely low amount of 1GB of DDR3 memory.
As advanced in the entry, rather than a proper update but I think it comes a little late and we descoloca a little above the place of the Mac Mini within the range. Is launching a computer? Is it anything more than a computer input? Is almost as powerful as the base model iMac?

New Apple Keyboard
New Apple Keyboard
Something that I did not expect much less in the flurry of news today is the new keyboard that you commented my companion Samuel Fields in the article of the new iMac.
Basically, the new keyboard is a mix of keyboard with cable and wireless. It has 2 USB 2.0 ports as a normal keyboard, but no keys in the style of the Apple Wireless Keyboard. The result is a keyboard and cable with 2 USB ports, but it saves a lot of space to dispense with the numeric keys.
The other two keyboards of the brand following the sale, so with this we have a range of possible keyboards 3. The new compact keyboard cable Apple sells the Apple Store in Spanish, it costs 49 euros and is delivered in 24 hours.

CoverScout 3, a tool for the covers of your discs: Features
CoverScout 3, a tool for the covers of your discs: Features
He has spent considerable time since the first time we spoke of CoverScout in Applesfera, and the program has greatly improved in quality, function and the visual aspect of it. Add headlines to your albums from iTunes is that the truth has never been so easy and so comfortable to use, except the automatic feature of iTunes itself, of course. But for those discs that are not on iTunes, or that we have labeled evil, we must find another solution. And that is where CoverScout.

In the interface we find the list of records that we have in iTunes on our right, the covers of the albums in CoverFlow mode in the middle, and top potential candidates who can choose to cover our discs. The interface, quite minimalist, makes the task of adding the covers is fairly intuitive.

It is also possible to open a browser window from within the program, which tabs appear on the various search sites selected.

The search for the covers can make it in different stores Amazon, among the images in Google and the catalog of Wal-Mart, so there are quite a few chances of finding what you’re looking for. One detail is that the covers are classified as star quality (size) of the same, so we can select the best choice with just one click.
And if you do not find the edit button allows you to capture directly from the iSight the cover, as well as edit the covers that for whatever reason (bad scan, wrong color, etc.) do not match the original. All this in a more comfortable and intuitive to use.
You can also add a color, in case the resolution on the cover is low, and the scaling of the same make the home appear blurred. We can also count on an extended clipboard, where we can go after leaving the images to use them. Another feature is the ability to print the covers, front and rear discs, and so on.
CoverScout costing 29.95 euros. A program is very well done and, if needed, can solucionarte once and for all the problems with the covers of the discs rebels.

OLO Computer: Turning your PC into a notebook
OLO Computer has recently updated its website with a mysterious notebook that seems to have an iPhone instead of trackpad and a full version of Mac OS X on the screen.

Apart from that it is a simple rendering many papers to stay there, in a purely conceptual design, the thousand dollar question should be whether Apple’s phone is powerful enough to run Mac OS X at its best or just is an image made to attract attention.
Without a clear response on the part of OLO and imagining that this is a real product, they come to mind previous attempts by others to provide mobile devices from a keyboard and screen sizes larger. Palm Foleo and redfly are two clear examples of this, and none of them managed to find its audience. ¿OLO Succeeding where others have failed?

Customize your icon Mail
Customize your icon Mail
MacThemes remains an inexhaustible source of graphics resources, both for our Mac to the iPhone or Touch. I found this file by chekkz in Photoshop format, fully editable, so we can set the Mail icon. It is possible to easily change the picture of the stamp, and also edit the text of the postmark.

It’s free and downloadable from here. Then you can save it in png format and use Candybar, or open with a preview, Edit, Copy and paste the picture in the file information in the mail finder, following the trick to assign an icon that he counted on this entry.

Future about Next MacBook Air
Possible further details of the next MacBook Pro
Do not alarméis, the image that you can see above these lines is not official. Many are the ones who are waiting for the evolution of Apple’s flagship laptop, the MacBook Pro. And lately not stop any details of arise from the new model.

According to recent rumors, the new MacBook Pro has no sharp edges as the MacBook Air, but kept his line. It will be quite thin and the screen (which will be “glossy”) will have a smaller frame.
The keyboard is black, like the MacBook Air, and the trackpad will be made of glass and offer multi-touch gestures. They even said that the trackpad will match in two areas, so that the activation of contextual menus and the use of virtualized windows more comfortable. And as we discussed recently, the FireWire 800 port would become the standard, FireWire 400 dislodged.
We are dangerously close to October, and particularly’m seeing that many of the rumors about the new laptops begin to match. As always, we will wait.

Does the Apple TV, about to be replaced?
The boys of tuaw have received a breath of an Apple Reseller anonymous, who said that the store had received a letter from Apple telling them to withdraw all displays of demo of Apple TV and destroyed.

Even with a deadline for doing so: On Tuesday September 30 at five in the afternoon. Yes, Tuesday. In the letter, Apple appears, moreover, that same day on September 30 Apple will launch a webcast. What makes us think that on Tuesday it may have been new developments.
Will this be the ‘brick’ that was rumored? I am not expecting that the Apple TV had something to do with this, let alone … Perhaps this new computer that Apple wants to launch a more complete media center, or simply the Apple TV 3.0 which already talked recently.

Genius lists, just awesome, just Apple
The lists Genius Genius … lists are great. When we talked about the rumors of the new iTunes 8, said the possibility of a new type of lists quite incredible. The rumors became reality and the “incredible” feature took the name of Genius.
But as usual many people Tacho this new heists of a utility service as Last.fm and the like but also had the sole purpose of making a little bit richer to Apple. I at first I join these people but over time I realized the tremendous value of Genius and its incredible potential.

The first of these criticisms is more than questionable. Is it like Last.fm? True do the same but the method they use for this is quite different. Last.fm has no algorithm and its suggestions are based on suggestions from other users.
Genius is an algorithm that improves their searches and suggestions with the passage of time, that is able to evolve in some way “learns” from our music and shows us what’s hot.
This seemingly unimportant feature that is more interesting because in the case of Genius selecting a ballad leads to all the songs suggested are a fairly slow song or ballad, which was not happening with Last.fm.
It is also true that Apple obviously not intended as an NGO and although the service is completely free, there is a new menu that suggests to us that we do not have songs with direct links to the iTunes Store, although this menu you can hide and go completely undetected.
I am the first to criticize the arrival of this feature but over time I realized it is unbelievable that the search algorithm and the wisdom that is in their suggestions. But where has all my respect for the iPhone and is generally in any iPod.
It’s just great to rediscover your own music while you use your iPod as you select a song or to the gym and the rest of songs you animate in the same manner as that song. I over time I was surprised. What do you think to yourself the new feature in iTunes 8?

News about iPhone
Apple patented a screen lock with notifications for future updates to the iPhone
One of many things for improvement in the iPhone is the notification system you have. The device should incorporate some sort of “alerts” that allows the user to know immediately, browsing the lowest number of screens possible, if you have SMS, e-mail or calendar event without reading (at least).

I even settle for a small icon on the top bar (in Installer 3 already existed an application that did this), but until now, officially, we had nothing.
However, a new Apple patent demonstrates the interest in the company by giving a roll to the screen lock iPhone: the screen with more visibility from the user and presents fewer features.
In this patent, we can see a system of alerts for notification on the screen, with the number of messages, e-mails, events, etc … without reading. Apparently could even serve as shortcuts to each of its sections, after unlocking the phone.
Something very similar is already Intelliscreen: a “tuneado” of the blockade on the screen that shows not only what I said, but also even the weather or the news. In this case, Intelliscreen takes a long time, earlier in Installer 3 and Cydia from now (if you have the iPhone OS 2.0 or higher).
Most likely we will see an implementation of this patent at an early firmware revisions of the iPhone: hopefully improve the consumption of resources Intelliscreen, the only weak point of this wonderful application.

Project Brick: A new mac in the range of Apple?
Project ‘Brick’: A new mac in the range of Apple?
Our reader and companion of Manolo Toledo XatakaFoto just send us this rumor, that clashes with all those who argue that the transition that Apple announced this month of October to be related to laptops. Apparently, in Cupertino are working on a project called ‘Brick’ (brick in English), which could be anything between an iMac and Mac Pro.

That new Mac would be announced in the course of the event on October 14, which we still have no official confirmation, and would replace the current Mac mini at the same time it would introduce a computer small, but with more power.
Is this the new transition that Apple said some time ago? Yet we can not assure anything, but this rumor certainly brings hope to those who expected a tower cheaper than a Mac Pro. The image that illustrates this article is a fake, of course, created by Lebreton. Thanks to Jack for sending us the article!
