Street Fighter already available for iPhone and iPod touch
A few weeks ago my colleague Pedro Santamaria a cool video showing you where we could see all the power and good CAPCON make when porting one of its most famous rendition of the platform the iPhone and iPod touch, speak logically from Street Fighter. The game has gone on sale today and we can access it at a price of 7.99 euros, a price somewhat higher but for the videos and screenshots we can see the game seems worth every one of their pennies.
This version includes includes 8 characters in 7 different scenarios, all known attacks, network play, 4 levels of difficulty and ability to define your own screen controls. His biggest problem a priori is the lack of physical buttons, while details such as customizing the buttons and even the organization of these seem to be any assistance in this regard. Transformers G1: juegazo geek for iPhone
I am a staunch fan of Starscream reminds me of my childhood when I saw Transformers chapters (dubbed in Spanish clearly neutral) and I was thrilled with the adventures of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Jazz. I was one of the Autobots (when you were young you had to choose sides), but my weakness was Starscream, a piece of plane of the Decepticons who had a squeaky voice that would want for themselves and Boris Izaguirre.

That being said, will know that when I saw the game that I present today I almost fell off the chair, this is a turn-based game where you watch the autobots / decepticons on various missions. We can choose between 23 characters in the original series (the drawings which I spoke, the lifetime and not substitutes created by Mr. Michael Bay) where they are most representative of the series, Starscream, Sondwave, Optimus … and we have the possibility of traveling 17 different scenarios where we can get upgrades and new weapons in the course of each mission. If you are a fan of the Transformers, especially in its first heyday, can not miss this game, marked by the time 4 euros in the App Store. Via | appadvice Download | Transformers G1

Moodagent, smart playlists from your iPhone and iPod touch
I am a big fan of the music charts since it is a useful way to rediscover your music and find songs that have always had but did not listen. Moodagent is a program for creating playlists, with the peculiarity that these are created from within the iPhone and iPod touch and stored automatically in our device.

The “grace” of the program is to create smart playlists into consideration certain variables available in the program interface, so that we can create playlists defining the following parameters: Sensual. With this parameter we can define more or less sensuales.Tender songs. In this case we can define amor.Joy songs. With this variable we can define more divertidasAgressive songs. In this case we can increase the “aggressiveness” of cancionesTempo. Finally we can define the speed or tempo to slow songs or so. The program is supported at all times in a web service company that analyzes our songs and according to this analysis offers us the results. The operation is similar to Genius, but in this case is an external service to Apple’s advantage and provides the ability to customize our lists. The setup is very simple and just start the program you have to do is wait for our songs are synchronized and receive the results of the Web server. After the synchronization, we can start playing with our program for creating playlists. We have two options: Based on a preset created for us a song so manualmente.Seleccionar “roadmap” for the rest, like a Genius. If we select a song, how the program is identical to Genius. The result is a playlist of 25 songs that we can keep in our iPhone and iPod touch by clicking on the “save playlist “. If we use the other option, whenever you click on one of the variables the song list will be updated in real time to create new lists. The only downside of the program is that the playlists are only accessible from the program, but the good thing is that the program does not use an external player if not integrated into the system, we can exit and continue Reproduction of the list, move songs to the iPhone blocked … in general the same performance as the application of the iPod. I’m sure you’re thinking is it pay? No, that’s also one of the good features of the program is a completely free application and if you like music you will like it as much as me. Download | Moodagent

Spotlight How to repair in case of problems
Spotlight has become a hallmark of Mac OS X since version 10.4 included him “Tiger”. The instant search system Apple operating system has improved over time, and many people agree that the version of Snow Leopard is arguably the fastest and most useful since the release of the property.

To achieve such speed, the system performs a catalog of absolutely everything on the hard drive, available so that Spotlight uses a special algorithm designed to find anything in the shortest time possible. However, until someone invents a foolproof system, this “indexation” Spotlight may fail and not be able to search correctly. The problem is that Spotlight does not find anything because of what we want, or because it partially: It will offer results but perhaps not what you’re looking for. In either case, we will see some little tricks to get these little mistakes repair the simplest way possible. Rebooting the process I better and faster, is to restart the process that controls Spotlight. As you see, is not an application as such but a feature of the operating system controlled by a process called SystemUIServer. But before we touch it, you learn a little more about it (maybe it’s useful in other cases ). The SystemUIServer is a process running in the background operating system, which controls some aspects of Mac OS X interface Especially, controls all the processes loaded “right” from the menu bar of the system, ie where are the applications you have loaded into memory, the battery meter, volume, clock and Spotlight …. ( #) Apple programmed the process so that the operating system relaunched if hung up: The state expresses SystemUIServer inconsistency, and Snow Leopard will proceed to kill the process and launch it again, restarting all services that depend on it hierarchically. (# ) However, to solve minor problems with Spotlight, will not automatically reset and the process is not hung, but due to poor documentation of its index, or an erroneous charge of it. If the latter case, restarting the process, everything will return to normal. To stop the process, you enter into Activity Monitor and what you seek on the list as “SystemUIServer. We selected, and click on the icon of the red octagon top bar, to stop it. Will suffice. As mentioned, the operating system detects inactivity on it and automatically relaunch. Proceed to retest Spotlight: Does it work? Genial, case solved. Is he still giving you trouble? We spent the next point. Going back to our Mac index Onyx is a great little utility for Mac that collects various tools for the maintenance and conservation of Mac OS X. It is completely free, and has been for several years, is considered one of the essential applications that one should always keep in our Mac From November 2009 is fully compatible with Snow Leopard. If not have, and go into your dischargeable Maintenance section. At the end of the window that opens, there is an option called Rebuild Spotlight Index. The brand, and click Run. This will force the system back to reindex your Mac to recover the structure of our files, since apparently the previous documentation has been damaged in some way. You can start this process using the Terminal, but I think that is simpler and more convenient to have a tool like Onyx, available to everybody and without further explanation. There is another trick to do this, and consists of adding our entire hard drive in the section “Privacy” Spotlight, close the preferences, re-enter and remove our hard disk back of this section. Automatically activate a re-indexing is complete. Tips for everyday After some of the previous two steps, Spotlight will return to work normally and should no longer give more problems. However, everyday experience also contributes little tricks that you can use to make your experience more integrated with the browser in Mac OS X. The first trick is not to look up words letter by letter. It’s more effective to copy the word or words that we seek full and taped into the Spotlight search bar, especially if you’re looking for a text within a PDF or other document. Greatly accelerate the search and the algorithm will no doubt take unnecessary search paths that result in increased response time for results to us. The second trick is rather a recommendation: Add to the privacy section of Spotlight all folders where you never want to look for something. Not only so that nobody can access files they do not want access, but to achieve faster searches: If you use Spotlight to launch applications only, remove the other folders that contain applications. If you seek only documents, delete all other folders that contain them. In Applesfera | Three tricks for Spotlight: Eliminates, clears, and reindexing

Anatomy of Apple Design “, a brief tour of the 34 years of Apple’s industrial design
See the video at the original site. 3D design studio “Transparent House released a few days ago a little tribute to Apple extolling the milestones most important in the 34 years of industrial design company.
Since the first Apple I motherboard (quite an achievement in design for the time) until the iPad. The video lasts only two minutes, and shows us products like the Macintosh Portable, the original Macintosh or Newton MessagePad as if fresh from the box, through the use of Autodesk 3ds Max and V-Ray. Everything that appears in the video is computer generated image. However, as AppleInsider pointed mates, big machines are left on the road, such as flat-screen iMacs, the famous imperishable Cube or the all-important iPod. The study, according to remarks on Vimeo, wanted to reflect the products that are more related to the nature of the iPad, as of course they could not put them all. Still, an elegant video, well done and some gorgeous images to remember from the past and present from Apple. On the other hand, the Transparent House website designs are really good, such as lamps, cassette, remembering another decade … Vía | AppleInsider Official Site | Transparent House

Reuse the packaging of your iPhone and Macbook
At Apple following a complaint from Greenpeace for the low recyclability of their products, they set to work getting a line of products that are among the greenest in its class. And our reader Tony has shown us that all this can go further, to the extent that we have shown two ways of using the packaging of our iPhone and MacBook to something quite unusual.

When it bought the original iPhone, inside its case came a beautiful our dock to sync and recharge it with our Macs since the 3G model output, this is no longer true, the good speakers say it was to cut cost price of the phone and power and sell it cheaper, poor thus say that Apple has sold more than an accessory. In this article from iPhone Savior taught us how to turn the box it comes in an original iPhone dock where you can phone our favorite place to be reloaded and synchronized. And the truth is that it’s easy to make and the result is spectacular. In the second article belonging to Cult of Mac, we can see a way to reuse the styrofoam packing that protects our MacBook in its box, to get a precious laptop support where we stand as we work with him. With two simple screws get manufacture with the peculiarity that to have those holes, the MacBook can dissipate heat through its bottom. Both articles are a clear indication that using a little ingenuity and products that would otherwise end up in the trash (though we all know how reluctant we are the Maquera to get rid of these packages) we can achieve these results. Apple Updates ADC center offering new licenses for developers
On Thursday, Apple unexpectedly closed its center of ADC, Apple Developer Connection, ie where are grouped all the information on both the development of applications for the iPhone and for the Mac This time the surprise came from the hand of the software for Mac OS X and not for the iPhone OS. Apple has modified its development licenses by adding a new low price of $ 99, this means that anyone with just over 70 euros can become official developer for the Mac, with access to resources and even Apple’s latest updates Mac OS X Sounds interesting, it seems that with iPhone Apple has discovered that not only large companies make good software and that these small developers from home can also create applications to leave us with an open mouth.

( #) Though of course, with a price so attractive in some websites are asking whether this will be an initial strategy to create a MacApp Store as Peter told us long ago. In Applesfera | The Mac App Store, a utopia?

One More Thing … (week of 1/03/2010)
March rainy and windy April and May are blooming and beautiful. That’s what the saying goes, so enjoy this first weekend of the month to see if it makes us short to arrive before the iPad.

To entertain, let’s review some of the most interesting entries in the blogosphere about Apple. Let them: in faq-mac tell us how to add a clock to a presentation in Keynote. If we have to keep track of time (or that our audience can see the time) on the presentation itself, is a sea of useful trick, based on the addition of a Quartz Composer file to misma.Uno of our readers, dyxlesic , sends us word that the next program FATHER for income tax in Spain is written in Java, which can run on Mac OS X without virtualization or follow the tricks that my partner Pedro Aznar said in this entry. In a post I published some time ago you commented that Fliqlo, one of the most popular screensaver had stopped working in Snow Leopard. Well, Hec, another of our readers, says there are already Fliqlo for SL version, and can be downloaded from its website. I have a Mac commented on some applications for finding Wi-Fi networks have been removed from App Store because, according to Apple, used a private API. The application that I use, eWifi, is no longer available. Let’s wait to take out one that is not based solely on showing hotspots and do not use this API.En Mackinando tell us how to use Subversion, the popular version control manager with XCode, so that we have perfect control over the development of new applications. Also in osxmagazine can download some great icons in. Icns and. Png to change some aspect of the folders on your Mac, Snow called Saber, and are available in silver and black. Kensington Mini Battery and Dock for iPhone and iPod
My first iPhone was an iPhone Edge and he spent the 3GS version, I noticed the change in the battery life was remarkable. With a GPRS connection, the phone was not so large an expenditure of battery can endure without problems about two days, but with the model experienced a detriment 3GS meaning of this term.

The best connection (GPRS think you did visit that page or not under your connection) led to greater use of the iPhone and I stood up against the reality that the battery would last me less than half a day. The acquisition of a external battery seemed necessary, so that after the good reviews from my fellow Samuel Fields Kensington solution, I opted for the brand. Samuel also said the existence of a mini dock to charge the battery and the iPhone or iPod. Having purchased one perhaps my experience will help you choose between one option or another if you are in the same predicament. The battery pack includes a mini, a dock suitable for charging and the battery to the mini time, a USB cable and power adapter. The Dock is divided into two distinct holes that will allow it to support the battery and the device you want (either iPhone or iPod). We can connect directly to mains voltage through the plug or plug into a USB port on your Mac If we connect the dock directly to a plug, automatically begin to charge both the battery and mini iPhone. But if you connect to a USB port on your Mac have both devices connected to it, the iPhone will prevail on the battery. The external battery is not charged if there is an iPhone or iPod in the dock. The operation and finishes are the same as he usually does this mark, making it a very interesting option since the price difference between this and only the battery pack is negligible. As far as recharge capacity of the mini battery, to get an iPhone 3GS experiment reduced capacity with respect to what my colleague said Samuel, this is located about 50% of recharge is less than 75% that he got recharge the iPhone 3G. is missing inside the pack does not include an extendable USB cable, as if made in the mini battery separately. For travel can be very useful. If you are looking for a mini battery for your iPhone or iPod maybe this is the best option since it surely would kill two birds with one stone. Its official price is 69,99 €, but I found it in a well-known distributor of Apple in Spain ten euros cheaper. More info | Kensington Mini Battery and Dock

Steve Jobs might have confirmed that the iPad may not use the “Internet Sharing” from the iPhone
O to make it clearer: If you have an iPad, you can not use your iPhone’s data rate to connect to the Internet. The only way to connect the new Apple toy is Internet, Wi-Fi or using a new 3G data rate.

Also, because really what you’re thinking, you can not use the SIM card from your iPhone or telephone operator in the iPad, as it uses the new micro-SIM cards. Yesterday Aitor taught us new images of Red point in shaping the iPad, and saw that it was the option “Tethering” or “Internet Sharing”. However, this option will be to do the reverse as we thought, ie use iPad 3G connection to connect a computer to the Internet. Is not official yet, but everything has a certain logic and could have been confirmed by Steve Jobs himself a Swedish user, when asked about the possibility of getting the Internet using an iPhone. This was the response: Ämne: Re: Dear mr. Jobs Från: Steve Jobs Date: 5 mars 2010 17.01.29 CETTill: Jezper Söderlund Return-Path: Issue Sent from my iPhone. Apply Learn & Master Guitar by Gibson for iPhone and iPod touch
If you are a fan of electric guitars like me, you will know without a doubt the two major brands, Gibson and Fender. Each has its distinctive shape and know only to see a mark belongs.

I will never forget the words of Leo Fender said that the guitar can be your best friend, girlfriend or counselor, which is true. As an application as provided by Gibson can be of invaluable help for the beginner or the experienced fan of this instrument. This application intends to introduce the video training series for learning the instrument six strings, but adds a number of features that lead to application further. As expected in a free application, it provides an introductory video series of the Learn & Master Guitar collection. The application will make a link to Youtube where you will see different techniques lessons on guitar. Also has a link to the Gibson site fully optimized for the iPhone, but what real use are the three other options offered by the application. Tuner offers two two options, the chromatic tuner and simple. The simple we play six notes allowing to tune the guitar in tune “La”, this would be the most common tuning a guitar. If we use the chromatic tuner, the application will use the iPhone’s microphone to capture that note you are playing and display. We can choose between several tunings classic or modern guitar. We can tune the guitar to our liking and accurately since it is capable of displaying sharps or flats of a note. Metronome Indispensable to play and learn to take the pace. Very complete because it has features that no other applications. Obviously we can vary the rhythm and time, as in any metronome, but has an option to mute the metronome strokes and replacing them with flashes on the screen. This is of great benefit when you’re playing at high volume and can not distinguish the sound hits the bar. Chords This is perhaps the section that most interests me. It has a small database with different chords tablature. We will show the correct fingering on the fingerboard of the guitar so it comes in handy for keeping cool at any time. The list could have been more extensive, and can even be given the option to play the sound the same, but you can not ask more to be a free application. Thanks to our reader Peter for point to this application. in the App Store | Learn & Master Guitar Gibson

Netstream Eye TV, TV tuner that sends the image through the local network
Eye TV Netstream can watch TV on any computer connected to the LAN. The new elgato device manufacturer provides the ability to not rely on any tuner to use as the EyeTV Deluxe that only allows us to watch television on the computer where emacs.

To get Eye TV Netstream uses home ethernet network. In the back we have a network connector RJ-45, an antenna input and the corresponding input of the power supply. And is designed to connect directly next to the router. Thank you both digital terrestrial TV tuners DVB-T, working separately, we can connect from two different teams and seeing two separate issues. The rest will have to do the same as any of them. For management, recording and playback of programs use the Eye TV software known. And the configuration is simple to make use of Bonjour and UPnP protocols. And there’s more. Netstream Eye TV is compatible with both Mac OS X with Windows 7. For Mac already discussed and the necessary application for Windows 7 we have two options: TerraTec Home Cinema and Windows Media Center. Elgato has confirmed to be working to use Eye TV Netstream both the iPhone and iPod Touch as well as the next product to appear: iPad. What makes this new tuner elgato across a great product. That yes, his price is great but personally I see it justified. Its value is 249,95 €. And it requires a Macintosh with Intel Core CPU, Mac OS X v10.5.8 or later PC with Windows 7, 2.0 GHz Intel / AMDCPU or Intel Atom CPU and 1GB of RAM. In addition to a LAN 100Base-T Ethernet (802.11n wireless) to ensure smooth functioning. Vía | Hardmac More info | elgato
