Genius lists, just awesome, just Apple
The lists Genius Genius … lists are great. When we talked about the rumors of the new iTunes 8, said the possibility of a new type of lists quite incredible. The rumors became reality and the “incredible” feature took the name of Genius.
But as usual many people Tacho this new heists of a utility service as Last.fm and the like but also had the sole purpose of making a little bit richer to Apple. I at first I join these people but over time I realized the tremendous value of Genius and its incredible potential.

The first of these criticisms is more than questionable. Is it like Last.fm? True do the same but the method they use for this is quite different. Last.fm has no algorithm and its suggestions are based on suggestions from other users.
Genius is an algorithm that improves their searches and suggestions with the passage of time, that is able to evolve in some way “learns” from our music and shows us what’s hot.
This seemingly unimportant feature that is more interesting because in the case of Genius selecting a ballad leads to all the songs suggested are a fairly slow song or ballad, which was not happening with Last.fm.
It is also true that Apple obviously not intended as an NGO and although the service is completely free, there is a new menu that suggests to us that we do not have songs with direct links to the iTunes Store, although this menu you can hide and go completely undetected.
I am the first to criticize the arrival of this feature but over time I realized it is unbelievable that the search algorithm and the wisdom that is in their suggestions. But where has all my respect for the iPhone and is generally in any iPod.
It’s just great to rediscover your own music while you use your iPod as you select a song or to the gym and the rest of songs you animate in the same manner as that song. I over time I was surprised. What do you think to yourself the new feature in iTunes 8?
