2012 Hyundai Elantra Customer Comments

2012 Hyundai Elantra

“On our routes, which saw us plowing away along grooved freeways, expansion-jointed roads, chopped up asphalt and even the occasional sandy shoreline parking lot, we experienced one of the best compact/mid-sized rides we have had behind the wheel.”
“Even though the interior styling felt expensive, I was a bit put off by the adolescence of its design; it looked like a Transformer in the midst of a noisy, clanking transformation.”
Hyundai Elantra’s interior is impressive. It can come equipped with sought after features like navigation, Bluetooth, a rear view camera and heated leather backseats on the Limited trim — a first for an affordable small car.
Hyundai covers all of its vehicles with one of the most comprehensive warranties on the market: a five-year/60,000-mile bumper to bumper warranty, a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty and five-year complimentary Roadside Assistance.

Hedwig:Just hit 6,000 with the car. I took it on a road trip from Austin, TX to Flagstaff, AZ. The drive is mostly highway with 75 miles per hour speed limit, mostly flat grounds, not much traffic. I maintained a speed around 75-80 mph. The total trip avg. speed was 62 mph. I averaged 37.7 mpg. At one point in New Mexico I drove 150 miles at 42.5 mpg at 75 mph. I suspect I was driving downhill most of the time with wind in the back, because I was not able to duplicate that. I was able to achieve the best gas mileage after I did the first oil change at 3,750 miles. I made sure I put in a high quality engine oil and put a brand gasoline, medium grade, and the gas mileage around 37 to 38 was achieved.

Daniella:Just bought a 2011 Elantra on the 23rd of December. It is my wife’s car – she traded in a 2008 Civic Coupe (we’ve had 5 Hondas). This is our 1st Hyundai, and it is very impressive.
2012 Elantra
Dollie:I absolutely love this car, it combines comfort with sportiness and excellent on gas. Definitely the best purchase I made to date. I traded in my 2003 Infiniti G35 sedan and have no regretted it one bit.
2012 Hyundai Elantra
Vince:The only thing I notice is a little motion in crosswinds. The features are just incredible. Being able to stream Pandora on android phone via Bluetooth is just too cool.
2012 Elantra
Heather:The doors and trunk close with a thump. The doors are quite heavy for a compact car.
2012 Hyundai Elantra
Catherina:The back seat room is smaller but fine for kids, and the car is more fun to drive than the old and new Accords, Sonata, and Fusion.
2012 Hyundai Elantra
Timmy:Even without the adjustable lumbar support the seats are comfortable.
Elantra 2012
Emmett:I then drove from Pensecola to Tallahasse and got 42 miles per gallon. WOW! I did all kinds of milage comparisions while I had the car for a week. In general it gets 32mpg mixed driving. At 75 mph hwy it gets about 35-37mpg. I drove a 17 mile stretch of flat road and it aveaged 55mpg. I was driving a Mazda RX-8. Now I bought a new Elantra for 18,000.00. I would have paid more!

Chef Knife Case Shopper Review

Chef Knife Cases
It is a really nice case with lots of space. Secures all knifes in so you don’t have to worry about the knifes hitting each other. It is a hard case and very sturdy. The only downfall if there is one, would be the size. It’s kinda bulky, but no bigger than other hard cases.

Chef Knife Case Buyer Check

Chef Knife Cases
This is a nice case, just doesn’t keep knives in place. It could use an extra band to hold them in the mesh. I do like having 16 slots to stick things in. Definitely better than a knife roll. If purchasing, use extra caution when opening case since your knives may slide out!

Wusthof Classic Chef Knife Consumer Review

Ease of Use: 5 of 5

Durability: 4 of 5
Ease of Cleaning: 4 of 5

Full Review by Raymundo from Florida, St. Petersburg

This knife is rather hefty. This is the heaviest knife I own (heavier than my backup 10 inch chef’s knife that I use for carving meats). This weight makes chopping anything a breeze. The weight of the knife is enough to let gravity do the work of cutting almost anything. The blade is forged, and extends all the way through the grip. This creates a knife that is nearly unbreakable. This is also the major cause for this knife’s weight. In forging their knives, Wusthof forges a larger metal grip guard that adds to the weight of the knife, but due to its location centers the weight.
This knife is very comfortable to use. As I already said the curve of the blade is such that rocking the knife back and forth is really easy. The grip on this knife is large enough for my larger than average hands, but I do not believe that it is so large that anyone with small hands would have a problem using it. This knife is sharp. It is not as sharp as my Japanese knives (the global and shun), that is mostly due to the fact that Japanese knives are sharpened at a different angle than German knives. This knife is still very nicely sharp, and holds an edge well enough that I would not be afraid to use this knife to force my way through some smaller bones. Sharpening this knife is as easy as running over my whetstone a few times once every week or two, but since it is sharpened at the angle that all German knives are, you could easily pick up one of those handheld sharpeners that has two circular ceramic wheels, and all you would need to do is run it through there a few times.

I love this knife. I used it to slice the turkey at Christmas and it did a beautiful job. I also used it to chop everything for Christmas dinner. It is a perfect weight and the handle is excellent.

MobileRSS HD, the perfect feed reader for the IPAD

Although over time Google Reader has become the default feed reader of many people, there are still great alternatives on the market for reading feeds locally. In problem that has the IPAD is that there is still an adapted version of Google Reader so it is essential to use a good feed reader, in this case we speak of MobileRSS.

Sure the name sounds as you not long ago I showed this program for the iPhone and iPod touch. Its developers have now released an adaptation of the IPAD program and from the moment one of the best for the team. The application has nothing we have not seen in the version of the iPhone, but that it is what makes it such a good application. Repeat formula but thanks to the device now has much more helpful.

Prince of Persia Retro on your iPhone / Touch / IPAD

One game I remember most fondly is the famous Prince of Persia original. Before giving his jump to three dimensions, the game of prince became a classic lifelike animations by combining the characters and fluidity of movement not seen in a videogame.

Prince of Persia Retro on your iPhone / Touch / IPAD

From today we can play the classic game Prince of Persia Retro on the iPhone / iPod Touch / IPAD, and just made its appearance in the App Store. Despite being the original adventure, graphics correspond to the second part of it, Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame. The controls leave a bit to be desired, especially taking into account that games platforms are most in need of a good control when you press the buttons and implement actions in due time. Unable to set the position of the same, which deducts points in this assessment. At least this comment is that the iPhone version, I do not know how will the user experience in an IPAD. Best of all is that, for very little money, 0.79 euros, can play a classic video game that has aged extremely well over time. And, as in the original game, we only have 1 hour to save the princess. That if we get used to the controls, which is already an adventure in itself. More info | Prince of Persia Retro

Home Firefox, Mozilla Application for trying to enter the iPhone

In Mozilla seeking to enter the iPhone from a totally opposite to that taken by Opera a few weeks ago. Everyone was amazed with the acceptance of Apple’s iPhone application for this browser, but the results were not as good as should have been.

Mozilla is not going to try to publish a browser, Firefox Home publish an application that will allow you to sync all data from the desktop Firefox. From Mozilla declare that to the possibility of a full browser is rejected in App Store, either due to technical or policy of the App Store, prefer to bring the possibility for any Firefox user can access the most important data from your desktop version. The history, tabs, bookmarks will be accessible through this application and loaded by Safari. Apple tyrannical policy on occasion, can lead to nonsense like this, that the user does not have something as basic liberty (and a priori harmless) as the choice of which browser to use. But with this implementation at least, we will ensure access to quickly and easily to the data that we have been using our desktop Firefox browser. The application, which will use Firefox Sync, promises to be free but as you can see in the video there is still time for the application appear in the App Store. More Info | The Mozilla Blog

Although in recent years the travel diaries are hitting strong, the Moleskine has good fault, having a device as advanced as the iPhone or iPod touch seems almost essential use for it. Trip Journal is a great application to do this from our iPhone or iPod touch.

Seesmic comes to iPhone and iPod touch with interesting news

Now that we have a fantastic application for Twitter and above is free, now that we have an updated version of Facebook with a great design, now comes an application that promises to do all that but in a differently. Seesmic and is called “grace” of the matter is that it is capable of handling more than one service at a time and therefore save time.

Seesmic comes to iPhone and iPod touch with interesting news

The idea is simple, instead of having to open an application for each service you want to update your status from Seesmic you can make them at once. At present only at a time can update Facebook and Twitter but that alone can save us some time. The operation of the application is quite simple and is based on panels to display each of the timeline for each service. We can add more panels to search for users, tags and even with our replys to access them very quickly. Another small details of the implementation is integration with Evernote, so that we can share notes with Evernote and content easily from within the application. The application also has versions for Mac and PC and even a web version to access from any device but has no native application to him. If you like to quickly update more than one service at a time or even if you like being a day of an important tag is a very useful application for it. Downloads | App Store

ShinyTweet, a Twitter client with a different style

Despite being a fan of Twitter, one of the biggest faults that I find today to IPAD are horrible service applications available to the App Store. Almost all try to imitate their versions of the iPhone and it does not work in the IPAD.

ShinyTweet is an application that breaks the mold and offers an interesting alternative to existing customers for the IPAD Twitter. If it is something rare in its workings and it might look not very well thought out, the truth is Once the video that after working in the same impressions are pretty good. The idea is to use sliding panels to try to provide emerging information in a horizontal format, thus the content generated by the program (links, tweets, users … etc) are grouped horizontally, can expand or reduce them so simple. The program is priced at 2.99 euros, a bit pricey but we have to start for developers accustomed to HD or IPAD words mean more expensive programs with the same features undoubtedly is one of the best applications available to date to Twitter.
